অনেক দিন পর,
শেষ হলো আমাদের Voice যাত্রা, এটাই হলো Voice সিরিজের এই পর্যন্ত শেষ সিরিজ,
এখানে আমরা আরো কিছু নিয়ম নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছি যার মধ্যে কিছু কিছু অনেক কিঞ্চিৎ ব্যবহার হয়।
যাই হোক, চলুন শুরু করা যাক তাহলে।
Passive Voice of Imperative Sentence.
Imperative Sentence (অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য) এ,
কোনো আদেশ, নিষেধ, উপদেশ বা অনুরোধ ব্যক্ত হয়। এই ধরণের sentence এর প্রথমে Affirmative এ Principal Verb (প্রধান ক্রিয়া) এবং Negative এ Auxiliary verb থাকে।
এই ধরণের sentence এর passive হয় নিচের নিয়মে,
Affirmative : Let + Subject + be + Verb (past participle) + (by you)
Negative : Let not + Subject + be + Verb(past participle) + (by you)
example :
Active : Do the sum.(Affir)
Passive : Let the sum be done (by you).
Active : Do not tease the boy.(neg)
Passive : Let not the boy be teased(by you).
Passive : Let not the boy be teased(by you).
Note :- আমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছি পরে দিয়ে By You দেওয়া আছে, এটা কেন? এটা তো তখনই হওয়ার কথা যখন বাক্যটির Active Voice এ You থাকবে Subject হিসেবে,
উত্তর :- অবশ্যই! You হলো প্রত্যেক Imperative Sentence এর Subject. কেন? চলুন দেখে নিই,
Imperative Sentence হতে পারে ৪ রকম,
Order (আদেশ) :- Do the work বা কাজটি কর। খেয়াল করুন, এই কথা টি কাকে বলা হচ্ছে অর্থাৎ কাজটি করবে কে? অবশ্যই এই বাক্যটির মূল রূপ "তুমি/তোমরা কাজটি কর" তাহলে তুমি/তোমরা হলো বাক্যটির Subject যার ইংরেজি অনুবাদ You, সুতরাং এখানে Subject হলো You.
Prohibition (নিষেধ) :- Do not do the work বা কাজটি করিওনা। এটাও Same অর্থাৎ "তুমি/তোমরা কাজটি করিওনা" তাহলে এখানেও You হলো Subject.
Request (অনুরোধ) :- Please do the work বা দয়া করে কাজটি কর। এখানেও কাজটি করতে অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে You কে, অর্থাৎ কাজ করার Subject হলো You.
Advice (উপদেশ) :- You should do the work বা তোমার/তোমাদের কাজটি করা উচিত, এখানে তো You টা আছেই।
এখন,
প্রশ্ন উঠতে পারে Let me do the work আমাকে কাজটা করতে দাও, এই বাক্যে তো me হলো Subject যদিও Imperative,
আমি বলবো আরে গাধা! এটা মূলে ছিল You let me do the work এখানে ২ টা Clause অর্থাৎ করতে দিবে You এ, আর করবে Me এ, তাহলে বাক্যের প্রথম Subject ই হলো You.
যাই হোক অনেক কথা হলো, এখন ফিরে আসি আগের পড়াই,
=> Active sentence- এর প্রথমে let থাকলে Passive Sentence- এর আগে Let বসে।
example :
Act : Let her eat rice.
Pass : Let rice be eaten by her.
Pass : Let rice be eaten by her.
Act : Let him hear this.
Pass : Let this be heard by him.
Pass : Let this be heard by him.
Passive Voice of the Defective Verbs/Modal
Auxiliaries and other Types.
Active বাক্যে Used to, ought to,be + going to, shall, should, will, would, can, could,
may, might, must, had better, would rather,am/is/are/was/were, to have/has/had/shall have/will have + to
may, might, must, had better, would rather,am/is/are/was/were, to have/has/had/shall have/will have + to
ইত্যাদি থাকলে Passive বাক্যে এগুলাের পরে be + মূল verb এর Past Participle form বসে।বাকি নিয়ম voice এর সাধারণ নিয়মের মতই।
Note : Subject অনুসারে Auxiliary Verb বসে।
Active : She ought to help him.
Passive : He ought to be helped by her.
Passive : He ought to be helped by her.
Active : I am to make a telephone call.
Passive : A telephone call is to be made by me.
Passive : A telephone call is to be made by me.
Active : She used to give him skates.
Passive :He used to be given skates by her.
Passive :He used to be given skates by her.
=> Active বাক্যে Ought to have, should/would have : may/might/must have, having প্রভৃতি থাকলে এগুলাের পরে Passive বাক্যে been + Verb এর Past Participle form বসে।
example :
Active : You should have supported me.
Passive : I should have been supported by you.
Passive : I should have been supported by you.
Passive Voice of Reflexive Verbs.
Active : Subject + Verb + Reflexive Pronoun
Passive : Subject + be-verb + Verb(past participle) + by + Reflexive Pronoun
example :
Active : He killed himself.
Passive : He was killed by himself.
Active :They thanked themselves.
Passive : They were thanked by themselves.
Passive : They were thanked by themselves.
Note :- Passive বাক্যে কিছু কিছু Verb এর পরে by এর পরিবর্তে with, at, to, of, in ইত্যাদি object-এর পূর্বে বসে। যেমনঃ- astonish, annoy, contain, fill, know, bless, displease, dissatisfy,gratify, shock, satisfy, please, seize, marvel, surprise প্রভৃতি।
example :
Active : His proposal shocked/pleased/surprised/satisfied me much.
Passive : I was much shocked/pleased/surprised/satisfied at his proposal.
Passive : I was much shocked/pleased/surprised/satisfied at his proposal.
Active : He has displeased/annoyed/dissatisfied her.
Passive : She has been displeased/annoyed/dissatisfied with him.
Passive : She has been displeased/annoyed/dissatisfied with him.
Active : The beauty of the girl marvelled all.
Passive : All were marvelled at the beauty of the girl.
Passive : All were marvelled at the beauty of the girl.
Active : The book contains many things.
Passive : Many things are contained in the book.
Passive : Many things are contained in the book.
